We don't have a TV so I'm completely (blessedly?) out of touch with television and American series in particular. So I've heard of these shows in passing but have never watched them and most likely never will. Tom Selleck looks good, like he has not gone too overboard with the plastic surgery. Based sheerly on the visuals here, the only other fella who does anything for me is Idris Elba.
Bates. And I'm watching season 3 on the internet. Oh my.
everybody, forget these losers, I was just writing about MYSELF and how movie stars copy MY MANCAKE STYLE, have a look! http://garysthirdpotteryblog.blogspot.com/2012/10/me-in-paris-with-jennifer-anniston.html
Damian Lewis! I just watched him in the BBC's Shakespeare retold version of Much Ado About Nothing.
Brendan Coyle. His voice and eyes make me shiver.
All of them please and thank you. :) But Carter, Coyle and the rest of the Downton men have stolen my heart for sure.
Happily overwhelmed by all these choices. Scrolling back to the top...AGAIN.
My faves are Eric Stonestreet, Dax Shepard, and Alec Baldwin. But they are ALL equally yummy!!!
I am so busy shaking my "Sasha" that I would add any of these to my dance card.
Get down!
Like Mustang Sally, I don't have a TV and haven't seen any of these shows. Loved all the guys represented here except Alec Baldwin. He just creeps me out. He always reminds me of a comment a friend's mother used to make about how to decide what shows her kids could watch, "if you wouldn't invite them into your house, don't watch them on TV." If Alec ever showed up on my porch, I'd lock the doors and windows and stand in the hall with my cell phone dialed to 911 and my finger on the send button. Creepy, smarmy guy. Bleck.
Oh that sly smile, Mr. Cheadle...
You forgot the Lannister (Game of Thrones) who may turn out to be the most badass of all..........Peter Dinklage!
Jim or Brendon. Although I really like Brendon in Lark Rise to Candleford.
Amen for the Peter Dinklage nomination. And I would happily have Alec Baldwin or Idris Elba. Over. Have them over.
Clearly, I'm going to have to check out Game of Thrones. Maybe we'll have a a GoT Mancake Off.
I'm going to have to go with Don Cheadle with a side of Don Cheadle. He's handsome, intelligent and spends much of his time working for good.
Damian Lewis was a close second.
My third choice was...I'll stop.
I still believe Common is God's gift to women. Sorry, there's just NO comparison. The man has the face of a fucking angel people, an ANGEL!
Downton all the way, baby!
Common! I love that guy! And Brendon Coyle and pretty much any of the men from Downton. I'm going to see if Hell on Wheels is on Netflix, I missed this season.
I love that Don Cheadle smile. Yummy.
Can I get the sampler box?
I love Don Cheadle's smile. It stretches from his chin all the way up to his eyes and encompasses his entire face. It's a kind, happy, genuine smile, and I can't help but feel it says something about who the man really is, beyond any characters he plays or celebrity persona he wears.
One of each Brit for me please! And Erin...where did you find season three on the internet?
Idris. And the men of Downton. I'm not watching enough TV to recognize some of the younger others. Tom Selleck has aged well though!
Who could resist Don Cheadle? May I add another? There's a poorly written series that's been on SciFi for maybe two years now. I guiltily watch it when my man's not around. It is almost painfully bad, but Haven has this bad boy in it, Eric Balfour, whose thin face is fascinating (yeah, that's it). The good boy's kinda good too, but I turned the sound off and just watched the other night (and my man was here).
"if you wouldn't invite them into your house, don't watch them on TV."
Love that Anna!! (there goes all the seasons of Survivor out the window!)
Out of all the choices above - My vote is for GARY! (since McSteamy isn't on the list and I'm in mourning for him anyway... )
Happy Monday People!
Bonnie
Wow, for someone who has the tv on as background noise pretty much constantly (much to my shame), I haven't even heard of many of these shows let alone seen them! Perhaps in a few weeks when baseball season is over. Right now I'm voting for the entire NY Yankees team. There's a LOT of mancake there. Just look at Curtis Granderson's and Robinson Cano's dimples when they smile. Swoon-worthy!
Happy Monday Derfs!
Brendan Coyle for sure! I can't resist British accents. Of course, Downton Abbey is the only one of those shows that I watch!
I have to add all those hot biker boys from Sons of Anarchy.
But Alec...he's always so fine. That voice of his.
Loves me some Don Cheadle.
I'll never ever get over Tom Selleck. But HELLO Idris Elba! Never heard of him, but maybe I should?
Very tough choices this morning! Hmm, I may need more coffee first! I'm not sure I would vote for Alec Baldwin, but I have to share a line from 30 Rock. Alec is all decked out in a tuxedo and the gal says "What's with the tux?" and he looks at his watch and says "It's after six. What am I, a farmer?" That totally cracked me up. Probably the only episode I have seen. Anyway, thanks for the morning mancake, Mrs. G!
I'm with Green Girl. We love our Sons Of Anarchy Mancake. Some of those guys are truly swoon-worthy.
I really like #1. I had to get over his role in the Forsyte Saga in order to find him sexy, though.
I also really like #8 and #9.
But the show Sons of Anarchy cracks me up. I grew up around bikers, the real deal bikers. I can say one thing for damn sure, I never saw any bikers that good looking. Well one time there was tall young drink of water at an outdoor concert, but he was wearing a Bandidos vest, and I learned long ago to never mess with anyone wearing colors.
Delicious cake today!
There is something about Damian Lewis that really does it for me. If I met him I would have a hard time not licking his face. And squishing him. And making him whisper sweet nothings to me.YUM
Damian Lewis, Tom Selleck and Don Cheadle are all on my "list"!!!
I love Mr.Bates but I could get into some SERIOUS trouble with that Anson Mount! Have you seen him "cleaned up"? Great God in Heaven ....And I have loved Don Cheadle since Hotel Rwanda.
I think of ManCake this way: It's like going to the library. You're not going to "read" them all, but a little perusal won't hurt the binding!!!
Could we have a Hugh Laurie Day anytime soon? Please and thank you!
Don Cheadle. And as a bonus, if you watch House of Lies, you occasionally get to view his very nice backside.
Oh, I've loved me some Damian Lewis since Band of Brothers and the short-lived (dangit) series Life. Also, Idris Elba is quite brillant in Luther (smouldering one might say)... And I have been fond of Tom Selleck since Magnum PI, but I also love me some Jesse Stone.
Tom Selleck with a side of Peter Krause. And maybe a nightcap of Idris Elba
I watched two back-to-back episodes of Parenthood on Saturday afternoon, and while I like Dax (Peter is apparently not my style, despite the fact that he is Lauren Graham's real-life boyfriend), it is Sam Jaeger ("Joel") all the way -- the chocolate decadence of mancake.
I don't know Idris Elba, but he looks like mighty fine mancake!
We own a TV and even put up an antenna so we can watch local stations, but it is rarely turned on. Around my house, it is mostly computers and books for everyone.
Idris Elba- his show Luther just goes from strength to strength and he is HOT! Stringer Bell or DCI Luther -bad boy or good man with anger management issues-whatever, he is my Mancake dream.
All of these men are definitely sexy, but Jason Momoa of "Game of Thrones" is especially yummy. Peter Dinklage is as well.
Idris Elba. And I haven't even seen his show!
Yes. One and all (although that photo of Magnum P.I., er, I mean Tom Selleck, isn't the most flattering), but especially Common, Dax Shepherd, Don Cheadle, and Alec Baldwin.
I love the Modern Family men, but there is just something about Alec Baldwin that melts my garters!
do you mind if I just test my comments to see if they show up?
Here goes- testing now.
I have a serious thing for Alec Baldwin's style of sexy goofiness. And I haven't watched any of the shows pictured but Idris Elba certainly appears to be one smokin' hot bundle of Man.
P.S. Gary, you kill me.
IDRIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SWOON! I'm positive he wants me to run away from him.
It's a toss up between Damian, Eric & Idris ... I do so love a ginger!
