She Hearts NY

Mrs. G. It's late (thanks for a perfect evening, Wisconsin!) and Mrs. G. is short on words and a stable internet connection. Here are a few sweet snaps of New York.
Mrs. G. met Chris in Kinderhook, NY, for lunch. Kitty Gigantica dwarfs Kinderhook's Martin Van Buren.
St. Pauls, the dear Episcopal church, has...
Tiffany windows.
Tiffany windows!
Chris and her kickass daughter, Elizabeth.
The charming, seemingly candy-coated Rith House in Etna, NY.
Gary and the Missus, a most adorable couple.
Spike, the cat.
Penny, the beagle.
Gary's wit.
Becky from Upstate, NY. She's not shy.
Becky, Patricia, Gary and the Missus.
Gary, at work.
Gary, Emma, Mark, Leslie and Becky partying down.
Trash (and Nan) represent the UK with cats and birds on it.
Gary and the lovesome Alison, who drove all the way from Ottawa...
with her two beautiful girls.
The whole derf lot!
Thanks pals.

Looks like another fantastic gathering! So sorry I couldn't make the Philly one but am loving following your journey vicariously.
And Gary, I have a son who would give a huge thumbs up to your Godzilla shirt!
What fun. Love to see Gary's Missus, Spike and Penny!!! What a wonderful house to live in.
Hope your trip home is safe, easy, and on time.
Hooray!More Derfwads!
That picture of Spike is priceless...
SPIKE!!!!! :) So glad you and the rest came here, Mrs G, thank you you YOU!
Looks like NY was lots of fun and I agree, that picture of Spike is priceless!
...and a lovely time was had by all! Thanks so much to Gary and the Missus for hosting! We had fun and it was wonderful meeting other Derfs...and you Mrs. G!
Thanks so much for making such an amazing journey and bringing us all together!
Safe trip home.
Leslie Jane and clan
HAHAHAHAHHHA!!!!! I loved meeting all the Derfs!!! My only regret is not forcing my daughter to come with me so I could have stayed the whole time! Mrs. G, you are truly wonderful and I hope to someday make a cross country venture and explore what's out there. Gary...you are the bomb!! You and your lovely Missus were fantastic hosts! I wish I could have grabbed Spike and squeezed him a bit, I love a big, fat cat! It was an evening I will never forget!! Thanks for letting me be a part of it!! My Bitter Little Man aka the only short Asian cop in my town, was glad to hear I had fun and that I didn't get hacked up by crazy ax murderers!!
Safe travels Mrs. G...get home safe and hug your fam. I'm sure they miss you!
Real men live in purple houses. Go Gary!
I'm SO glad you got to meet Alison and the girls. Now you know why I love them so very much.
Gary has always been so humble about his status as a real mancake--I'm glad he finally put it in pottery!
Oh the regret that washes over me for being someplace else besides where you were! Now I'm home and taking care of a dying cat. Summer rocks!
Another great adventure. That picture of Spike: Yowza. I think he weighs more than Missus Tastycakes!
That truly was an amazing gathering! I'm just sorry that border holdups caused us to arrive just as Becky was leaving. :( I loved meeting Jane and Mark and their Emma, and Christine and her Emma, and Patricia (who was Emma-less but brought GREAT beer). Gary and the Missus were such gracious hosts (hey, I met my very first mancake in real life! :) ) I was afraid that my girls would have to be frisked to make sure that they weren't hiding Penny and Spike under their teeshirts when we left. And Mrs. G., what can I say? From our very first hug it was like running into a cherished old friend that I hadn't seen in years. I loved every minute of it and wish it could have been longer.
Dead Presidents and Tiffany windows- we ain't got much, but what we do have is "cherce". It was great to me you. So is this trek going to be an annual thing. -----------> ;)
Fun fun fun!
Who said I was humble about being mancake???? ;)
Becky, funny that I met your husband by chance last week, hmm? I suspect that a cop had a lot to be worried about, seeing murder and mayhem and sorority girls puking every day and night :) Which reminds me, mrs. G may have a couple thousand miles to get home, but she has NOT YET BEEN CHOPPED TO BITS!!!!!!!!! Something tells me that she and Kitty Gigantica will soon be enjoying Mr G's company again :)
PS--speaking of girls puking in the bushes, I did NOT consider it a failure that none of my guests puked in my bushes....
Hey, I had such a great time! Missus and Gary are perfect hosts. I met beautiful people and companion animals. We ate delicious food. We got to see and incredibly awesome potter at work. And Mrs. G is delightful! 13 on the 13th!
More long lost family! Yeah! Sure wish I could have been there!
Looking at the picture of the Missus holding Spike, and then looking at Angus sprawled on my floor, I take back saying that Angus is as big as Spike. Angus looks like Spike's little brother. ♥
Whhhhhaaaaaa! Still carrying on with my "I didn't get to go to Gary's house Pity Party".
I think Spike, in all his awesomeness, might just dwarf Kitty Gigantica.
And Gary, I think "mancake for real" should definitely go on your business cards!
Wow Tiffany windows! Purple houses, souvenirs and so many freinds. What a great adventure.
I can't help but crack up every time I see a picture of Spike. The look in his eyes is priceless! It looks like such a great time was had by everybody. It's hard not to be just a little envious of every stop that Mrs. G. has made. To be riding shot gun and getting to meet everybody would have been a dream trip.
Safe travels home Heather. Hugs and much love.
