Probably Jeff Daniels. Or either or both. But only if they stay all cleaned up like that. Both these handsome fellows tend to let themselves go, so please stay in the tuxes and suits.
I think it would depend on the WHY of the situation. If I were looking for a rough and tumble, with drinking and singing, then Jeff Bridges. If I wanted something a little bit more refined, maybe with a museum or reading involved, then Daniels.
BOTH ! Jeff Bridges is that guy you always HOPED noticed you and Jeff Daniels is that guy you should have been noticing! Jeff Daniels has grown on me through the years, not sure if it was because I wanted to slap him in Terms of Endearment but...he has been redeemed!
The Dude abides. Plus he's the son of Lloyd Bridges (a Sonoma boy) and every year, he and brother Beau contract for a wine to be made in Lloyd's honor with proceeds going to charity.
Although The Purple Rose of Cairo is one of my favorite movies, I love Jeff Bridges so much, I'd consider buying a Hyundai. The Dude abides. He's a decent photographer as well.
Mrs. G., thank you for posting such a lovely photo of my boyfriend Jeff Bridges. He's delicious. Good singer too. He was here in Tampa for the RNC showing his film about hunger. It sadly we did not rendezvous.
If you love Jeff Bridges, here is a great American Master's documentary about him you can watch online for free: http://www.pbs.org/wnet/americanmasters/episodes/jeff-bridges-the-dude-abides/watch-the-full-film/1771/
It's called: The Dude Abides
Fabulous Baker Boys anyone?
Also, I was in love with Beau Bridges when I was a kid because he was in that movie: The Other Side of the Mountain: The Jill Kinmont Story? Man, that was a tearjerker.
From IMDB.com: Jeff Bridges produced too much of a bulge in the crotch area in his computer outfit, so he was forced to wear a dance belt to conceal it.
I'm a huge fan of The Newsroom, so I'm a little in love with Jeff Daniels right now - until I remember that he was also the other guy in Dumb and Dumber.
And since the subject of celebrity bulges has been brought up, photos were posted this weekend of Mad Men's John Hamm VERY OBVIOUSLY going commando whilst strolling through NYC with his girlfriend.
The Dude, all the way. Don't know why, but he reminds me of a teddy bear...and he played the greatest movie character of all time. (The Dude!)
Oh and Mrs. G. -- so funny, I was thinking of that movie The Other Side of the Mountain just yesterday! I cried and cried when I saw it... That must have been about 30 years ago! But Beau played quite a dick in the movie Heart Like a Wheel (in which Bonnie Bedelia portrayed a real-life female drag racer.) So I'm 50/50 on him.
Why didn't my earlier comment post? Or did I screw up?
Anyway - Jeff Bridges. Always. "Fabulous Baker Boys" - need I say more?
Jeff Daniels is a great actor. You would think he'd be my choice, since I was working at Circle Repertory in the '70s when he was performing in Lanford Wilson plays, but I can't help but always see him as Harry in "Dumb and Dumber." - that's a real turn off.
Probably Jeff Daniels. I never saw Dumb and dumber, so he has not been spoiled for me. Jeff Bridges, when he was younger like in Jagged Edge, but more recently - no thanks,.

Bridges!
The Dude abides.
(Though honestly, I get them confused and even lump Dennis Quaid in there.)
Bridges. He's the big Kahuna.
I think it would depend on the WHY of the situation. If I were looking for a rough and tumble, with drinking and singing, then Jeff Bridges. If I wanted something a little bit more refined, maybe with a museum or reading involved, then Daniels.
The Dude. Anytime.
Bridges. Jeff Daniels only ever looks like the dude from Full House to me. Even though I know he isn't. Too creepy to like Uncle Joey!
Bridges. Every time. And I like a little scruffy (not a lot), which in my opinion, he does well.
Jessie, I understand your aversion to Uncle Joey, I do, but at least Jeff Daniels never had a mullet he styled with a round brush.
Probably Bridges. He really got to me in the movie where he was the country singer.
Jeff Bridges...no contest!
Bridges for me!
BOTH ! Jeff Bridges is that guy you always HOPED noticed you and Jeff Daniels is that guy you should have been noticing! Jeff Daniels has grown on me through the years, not sure if it was because I wanted to slap him in Terms of Endearment but...he has been redeemed!
Jeff Daniels. Terms of Endearment is my go to cry movie.
Jeff Daniels all the way. Have you been watching The Newsroom?
Excellent observation, Bramble! I think you nailed that one, but I still want to stare into Jeff B's eyes for an hour or six.
I am loving Jeff Daniels in The Newsroom - but not sure I can ever forgive him for screwing around on Debra Winger - what a useless turd Flap was!
Well, now...that depends on my mood. :)
I am thinking that as long as they get the job done does not matter.
The job list:
Washing, sweeping, dusting... send them both the whole house needs some work.
Jeff Bridges - And not only because we share the same last name!
The Dude abides. Plus he's the son of Lloyd Bridges (a Sonoma boy) and every year, he and brother Beau contract for a wine to be made in Lloyd's honor with proceeds going to charity.
Bridges. If he's in a movie, I automatically want to see it. He was amazing in "The Door in the Floor".
The Dude. Anytime. Anywhere.
Jeff Daniels. I fell in love with him way back, when The Purple Rose of Cairo came out.
That salt and pepper scruff.
Bridges. I may need to buy GQ this month...
Although The Purple Rose of Cairo is one of my favorite movies, I love Jeff Bridges so much, I'd consider buying a Hyundai.
The Dude abides. He's a decent photographer as well.
Bridges.
Do I really have to choose?
bramble, you are spot on! I'm gonna go with Daniels because I LOVE him in Something Wild.
Yes.
Mrs. G., thank you for posting such a lovely photo of my boyfriend Jeff Bridges. He's delicious. Good singer too. He was here in Tampa for the RNC showing his film about hunger. It sadly we did not rendezvous.
Jeff Bridges. Ask me why his was the only character in the first Tron movie to have a drape over his waist!

Anon, why? Do you know something about Jeff Bridges you are OBLIGATED to share with your derf sisters?
From IMDB.com: Jeff Bridges produced too much of a bulge in the crotch area in his computer outfit, so he was forced to wear a dance belt to conceal it.

Bridges!!
Bridges. Even when Daniels is in a good movie (The Paper Man) I still think he is less attracive than Bridges at his scruffiest. Plus Starman.
The Dude, all the way. Don't know why, but he reminds me of a teddy bear...and he played the greatest movie character of all time. (The Dude!)

Totally the dude. Stay away from my f-ing lady friend! I love it.

Jeff Bridges, hands down. Or up. Or strumming his guitar and singing like he did in "Crazy Heart."
Probably Jeff Daniels. I never saw Dumb and dumber, so he has not been spoiled for me. Jeff Bridges, when he was younger like in Jagged Edge, but more recently - no thanks,.
Bridges, all the way
Bridges. If I must choose, that is.
Bridges. And I'm DYING that you mentioned The Other Side of the Mountain movie -- one of my sister's and my favorites. So, so cheesy and excellent.
Anon, best trivia ever!
