Probably Jeff Daniels. Or either or both. But only if they stay all cleaned up like that. Both these handsome fellows tend to let themselves go, so please stay in the tuxes and suits.

I think it would depend on the WHY of the situation. If I were looking for a rough and tumble, with drinking and singing, then Jeff Bridges. If I wanted something a little bit more refined, maybe with a museum or reading involved, then Daniels.

Bridges. Jeff Daniels only ever looks like the dude from Full House to me. Even though I know he isn't. Too creepy to like Uncle Joey!
Bridges. Every time. And I like a little scruffy (not a lot), which in my opinion, he does well.
Jessie, I understand your aversion to Uncle Joey, I do, but at least Jeff Daniels never had a mullet he styled with a round brush.

BOTH ! Jeff Bridges is that guy you always HOPED noticed you and Jeff Daniels is that guy you should have been noticing! Jeff Daniels has grown on me through the years, not sure if it was because I wanted to slap him in Terms of Endearment but...he has been redeemed!

I am loving Jeff Daniels in The Newsroom - but not sure I can ever forgive him for screwing around on Debra Winger - what a useless turd Flap was!

Mrs. G., thank you for posting such a lovely photo of my boyfriend Jeff Bridges. He's delicious. Good singer too. He was here in Tampa for the RNC showing his film about hunger. It sadly we did not rendezvous.
Jeff Bridges. Ask me why his was the only character in the first Tron movie to have a drape over his waist!

I'm a huge fan of The Newsroom, so I'm a little in love with Jeff Daniels right now - until I remember that he was also the other guy in Dumb and Dumber.

The Dude, all the way. Don't know why, but he reminds me of a teddy bear...and he played the greatest movie character of all time. (The Dude!)
Oh and Mrs. G. -- so funny, I was thinking of that movie The Other Side of the Mountain just yesterday! I cried and cried when I saw it... That must have been about 30 years ago! But Beau played quite a dick in the movie Heart Like a Wheel (in which Bonnie Bedelia portrayed a real-life female drag racer.) So I'm 50/50 on him.
Totally the dude. Stay away from my f-ing lady friend! I love it.

Anyway - Jeff Bridges. Always. "Fabulous Baker Boys" - need I say more?
Jeff Daniels is a great actor. You would think he'd be my choice, since I was working at Circle Repertory in the '70s when he was performing in Lanford Wilson plays, but I can't help but always see him as Harry in "Dumb and Dumber." - that's a real turn off.
Jeff Bridges, hands down. Or up. Or strumming his guitar and singing like he did in "Crazy Heart."
Probably Jeff Daniels. I never saw Dumb and dumber, so he has not been spoiled for me. Jeff Bridges, when he was younger like in Jagged Edge, but more recently - no thanks,.
